Webinar: Getting published
View in Google Maps
Getting published will enhance your CV and help you stand out from the crowd in a competitive training or working environment. It may help you expand your knowledge, encourage discussion and debate amongst your peers and contribute to the development of surgery and patient care. However, with so much competition, taking your first steps on the publishing ladder can be daunting, and prove difficult if you don't know how.
Mr Tim Lane, RCS Council Member and Editor-in-Chief of the RCS Annals, will be chairing this free* webinar, bringing his years of knowledge and insight of what publications are looking for. He will be joined by a panel to discuss:
- how, when and where to publish;
- how to choose your subject matter;
- how to maximise your chances of having your submission accepted.
You will also get the opportunity to ask the panel your own questions in a Q&A session.
If you are at the start of your career or looking to refresh your knowledge and get some extra advice about publishing in medical journals, this webinar is for you.
You will be pleased to know that we have also published the book How to Get Your Paper Published: A Comprehensive Guide to Submitting Papers to Medical Journals, to help you find your way through the intricate path of publishing your paper. Feel free to use it as support for preparing your burning questions for the webinar.
*Free for Royal College of Surgeons of England affiliates, associates, members and fellows.
