Support our Work
Our charitable aims
We are a registered charity, independent of the NHS. The College safeguards experience, treatment and outcomes of the UK's surgical patients through the ongoing state of the art training of our surgeons and pioneering research. We need your help for this work to continue and flourish.
The RCS relies heavily on charitable support to fund surgical research, training and conserving our heritage collections. Legacies and support from grant-giving trusts, companies and individuals play a crucial role in maintaining and improving surgical care for patients.
Help us improve access to surgical care for children with inguinal hernia in Nepal
Surgery can prevent inguinal hernia, cure the condition and improve quality of life. It will cost £16,720 for UK clinicians to train teams to perform this life-changing procedure.
How can your support help?
Keep the future in safe hands...
With 4.2 million surgical operations carried out every year in England alone, our aim to maintain and advance surgical standards in patient care has never been so important. Some operations are minor, while others are life-saving or will dramatically enhance the quality of life. In every case, the patient places their trust in the hands of the surgeon.
Legacies and donations from grant-giving trusts, companies and individuals provide an essential source of income, and allow us to fund important new projects and initiatives.
The College is very grateful to all of our charitable donors and sponsors, as without your continued support this work would not be possible.
We'd love to talk to you about supporting our work...
